♬Liner Notes♬: This week's episode is shorter than most due to so many repeats from our #SongOfTheDay sources - which is fine with me for two reasons: I'd love to keep these episodes under an hour AND I'm in my hometown of Fayetteville, West Virginia. Unfortunately, MusicFestNW has kicked off and I'm missing it - worst of all was missing Sloan due to my new job... But enough about me, let's talk about new music from Aimee Mann, The Sea And Cake, Bob Mould and more. Let's start with Portland's own Helio Sequence and Pump Up Tha Volume!

Note: Song source KCRW says about Portland, Oregon's own: "The course of Helio Sequence's fifth album, Negotiations, was diverted by a flood in their studio space. Luckily, they were on tour and had their best equipment with them so they decided to use the opportunity as inspiration to do something different. You can hear it on reverb-heavy shimmery songs like... "The Measure."" We heard the song "October", also from 'Negotiations', on Episode019 - Apocalypse Dreams. The Helio Sequence are playing their hometown this week as part of Portland's premiere music festival, MusicFestNW.

That's the album cover above. The first single's called "Harps", which you can stream above. A long tour in support of the new record begins in October-."
